PROJECT IN PROGRESS
Young’s Mechanical Solutions is on site in Bridgewater, Virginia, installing the mechanical and plumbing systems for Harman Construction on a two-part addition for end user Shickel Corporation — a wood framed office addition alongside Shickel’s existing office space, and a pre-engineered metal building warehouse and fabrication addition. Rooftop units have been set on the office addition, and the interior is in the framing and rough-in stage.

A Design-Build Partnership
This project is being delivered design-build. Young’s Mechanical Solutions engaged J&G Engineering to perform the mechanical and plumbing design, and our crews are carrying that design through fabrication and installation as the mechanical subcontractor to Harman Construction.
Setting the Rooftop Equipment
Two Greenheck packaged rooftop units were staged and rigged on site, then set on the office addition by crane.

Sheet Metal and Ductwork
In the office addition, our sheet metal crews are installing the supply and return air distribution — main trunk lines, reducing transitions, full-height duct risers, and branch runs — fitted around wood framing, structural steel, and the other trades’ rough-in. Ductwork fabrication is handled in our own shop.

Plumbing Rough-In
Alongside the mechanical work, our plumbing crews are running copper water lines and PVC drain, waste, and vent piping through the trusses. Both trades are covered by our own crews, which gives Harman Construction a single mechanical subcontractor on the job.

Commercial Mechanical Contracting in the Shenandoah Valley
Work like this is what our crews do every day — commercial HVAC and plumbing installation for general contractors, developers, facility managers, and building owners throughout Bridgewater, Harrisonburg, the greater Shenandoah Valley, and into West Virginia. From design-build through fabrication, installation, and ongoing service, we handle the full mechanical scope with our own people.
